Congratulations to our girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams on first-place finishes yesterday at the first meet of the season at Ellsworth High School. Way to go, Eagles!
Our girls scored 16 points. EHS took second place with 42 points. Bucksport did not have enough runners to earn team points.
The top three finishes for our girls were Thea Crowley, No. 1, in 18:25.73; Grace Broughton, No. 2, in 20:50.59; and Josie Czuj, No. 4, in 20:55.23.
Our boys scored 36 points. Number two EHS scored 42. Bucksport took third place with 48.
The top three finishes for our boys were Clark Morrison, No. 2, in 16:37.86; Sol Lorio, No. 5, in 17:13.44; and Andrew Hipsky, No. 6, in 17:21.93.
