First race day of the year! Took a slow easy drive to Waterville at just barely above freezing temps after raining all night. Was not gonna be the one to hit black ice at full speed. Today’s race was not on the close to icy roads, but inside the fieldhouse at Colby College. I ran in the Indoor Insanity 5K, heat #2. As usual, after running outside in the cold the last few months, it was very warm in there. I also had a stomach bug earlier this week which took a lot out of me. Knowing that I lowered my expectations for today’s race and finished right about where I expected.
I finished in 22:00, a full 20 seconds slower than last year. I
