We pause in our celebrations of the Boston runners to remember George Towle, who passed away last night.
George was a longtime MTC member, race director for the (Maine Running Hall of Fame inducted) Thanksgiving 4 Miler, coach at USM, and friend to many. His kindness, straightforwardness, and willingness to meet at GLB will always be remembered. He hid from photos, but we managed this one from November 2025. Please, share any photos you have of George below. We’ll share details of services as soon as we know them.
