Registration for this year’s race is March 15 and 16, and in February we announced a new registration system – a Queue Entry System.

This new format requires registrants to still be quick at the launch to get entered into the queuing portal at 7 a.m. March 15 for Cape Elizabeth residents, and March 16 for the general , basically putting you in a virtual line. But it also provides greater time for you to complete the registration process without losing your place. The new controlled queue entry has been designed to ensure a smooth registration flow when registration opens.

We would like to reiterate a few important details for the Queue Entry System:

Runners register at the race website, www.beach2beacon.org.
Once you enter the queue page, you will be able to enter the registration form based on your position in line. This process could take anywhere from 0 – 20 minutes, so patience is needed
PLEASE DO NOT refresh, open multiple tabs, or close the window. If you refresh the page, open multiple tabs or close the internet browser window, you will lose your spot in line.
By entering the queue, you are not guaranteed a spot, but entering will hold your place in line if/when a spot becomes available
You will be notified if at any time the race sells out and will then be directed to the Lottery
You may only register one person at a time. If you want to increase your chance of running with specific people, Race Organizers recommend that each person attempt to register themselves at registration launch.
Again, multiple tabs open on the same device will NOT allow for a successful registration. You will lose your spot in line.

The new process will be in place for both days of online registration. On Thursday, March 15, Cape Elizabeth residents will have the opportunity to register for 600 slots starting at 7 a.m. ET. General Registration will begin at 7 a.m. ET on Friday, March 16.

A lottery for the 1,950 remaining slots will take place from March 16 through March 25, with lottery entrants announced on March 27.

The race entry fee is $55.

Detailed registration information is available at www.beach2beacon.org/2018-registration.
