WMC XC @ Cape Elizabeth HS 2023
It was a close race last night between Finn Morris of Cape Elizabeth17:25 & Liam Nudd of Cape Elizabeth 17:27 for the Boys Race. In female race it was not even close. Soren Stack-Chessa, a former male track star of Maine Coast & still is the fastest runner in his school this year. The powerhouse “Soren” has not slowed down after moving to the girls event. The MPA did have a type of screening in place but they lifted it in April of this to help males who ID as females run as female. Not sure if Soren was forced to run as a “girl” but the door was open to make it legal. Many of the Ladies disagree this is a good idea. Soren was able finish the race more than 2 minutes faster than Emma Young of Cape Elizabeth who finished 20:15 for 2nd place & Rahel DeLaney of MAINE COAST with 20:38 took 3rd.
