A good day was had by all in the little town of Saco, ME as 35 runners finished the Saco Sport & Fitness 10K with Mike Payson setting a new course record of 32:14 beating his old course record by 52 seconds with nobody in sight of him as he crossed the finish line. George Towle placed second with a 34:40 followed by Donald Hebert in 35:51.
In the female field, we saw Denise Harlow way up front finishing with a fine time of 36:45 followed by Rose Prest-Morrison with a 38:17 and Laurel Valley closing at 39:45.

The 5K run had twice as many runners with some equally good times. Ron Newbury lead the in 16:144 with Jeffrey Tidd closing in 17:13 with Willie-Bob Lund pushing him across the line in 17:33. The women were led by Leslie Mourmouras crossing the line in 19:48 followed by Lisa Sommer with Kate Myers breathing down her neck as they tied with a 20:46.
