Kerrymen Pub 13 March 1983
Flashback Thursday! Thanks Hank Pfeifle for posting this race pic from a Kerryman’s Pub Road Race long ago! Great pic! I never realized how deep the fields were back then with so many fast and talented runners. In this race alone, it was awesome to be amongst awesome runners such as Hank Pieifle, Ken Flanders, Danny Paul, Kim Wetlaufer, Ken Lateaurno, Henri Bouchard, Andy Kimball, and Stu Hogan and others. Not sure why I wore red and green as the race was well past Christmas season. lol!

Harry Nelson tells

That’s the first race I ever ran in Maine – May, 27, 1979. I ran 32.37. I remember when we came down a steep hill the guy behind me cut diagonally thru a gas station when we made a left turn at the end of the race. He passed me and I was ******. But i caught him just before the finish line!!
