For the early years the T-day 4 Miler course was similar to the Mothers Day 5K course: starting on Park Avenue by St. John Street and finishing on the Fitzpatrick Stadium track.

Jane Welzel (b. April 24, 1955, d. Aug. 31, 2014) was a pioneering long-distance runner who advocated for women to be added to the sport. [1] [2] [3] In 1990, she became the U.S. Marathon Champion when she ran 2:33:35 at Grandma’s Marathon in Minnesota. [4] Her career spanned decades.
