2025 great lincoln marathon awards

Sunday September 14, 2025, on a beautiful cool morning, with temperature ideal for runners, the 4th Annual “The Great Lincoln Marathon & Half – 5K – 10K Running Festival” started at 7:30 am. On behalf of the greater Lincoln Community, thank you to the runners and their friends and family, who came from 5 countries and 21 states to the Town of Lincoln, Maine making this race a International event. Thank you to Shawn Rogers and the Town of Lincoln, Maine and our many sponsors: SW Collins, Treeline The Maine Land Store, McDonalds, Select Designs & Embroidery, Lincoln Maine Federal Credit Union and Penobscot Valley Hospital and Walmart Welcome Team. We are delighted the Lincoln commerce is starting to see the value of major planned events that Lifestyle Sport Global is developing to bring tourism to the region with “The Great Lincoln Marathon & Half – 5K – 10K Running Festival” With all this support, this year race was a real community event. Thank you to the Lincoln Police Department, Chris DeBeck from the Lincoln News, his article will be in Thursday newspaper and Ben Barr from WABI TV news.
A HUGE thank you to my wife Laura for all her operations, technology work and support in planning all our events. A special THANK YOU to Sandy Smith from Smith Digital Solutions, LLC for his excellent IT work, great music and “boots on the ground” support on race day. A special THANK YOU to our volunteers Brian Souers and Alan, who set up all the water stations on the course and provided tables and chairs. HUGE THANK YOU to Tony Myatt and Pine Tree Race Services for timing our race and his assistant KING DAVID MOISON. THANK YOU to Walmart and their “Welcome Team” and their “May the course be with you” sign. THANK YOU to Mike & Nicky Clendenning at Barnes Brook Golf Course for setting up a water station. THANK YOU to Alex Vigil and the United States Air Force who manned the Full Turn around – they have been manning water stations at all our marathons this season: Bangor, Augusta and Lincoln. THANK YOU to Alan Dill and his family for helping at the Knights of Columbus water station. THANK YOU to Liz and Toby Inzerma and Jo Dolly who manned the 10K water station. Thank you to the team at “McDonald’s” for having a water station. THANK YOU to Blair Whitney Goodmen and Jet Everett Timmons for designing our awards that showcased Lincoln for our winners. THANK YOU to Lincoln Maine Historical Society Museum, WBroadway, Lincoln, Maine for being our “WELCOME TO THE FINISH LINE” team, Cathy Moison, and her team with Birdy Williams dressed as a Greek Godness who greeted each runner with their Finisher’s medal saying “It been waiting for you!” ? A THANK YOU to Aaron at Select Design for printing all our runners T-shirts. THANK YOU to Ken Gipson and Elizabeth Pelkey for photos and drone footage of the start of the race. THANK YOU to Dori McCormick for buying such yummy watermelons for the runners. Thank you to the BNI (Business Networking International) community and all their support, suggestions and contacts to help us plan the race. Thank you to Lincoln Rentals for the Portable Privies. THANK YOU to the residents of Lincoln and Enfield for cheering on our runners. We know there are many unsung heroes who helped make this race a success.
We are now planning for the 2026 event, and we encourage the community to join us in understanding the economic impact for Lincoln as this International event brings runners, their family and friends to Lincoln Maine.
