Maine Finishers 2010 20 Miler
It is our understanding that the 20 Mile race started in Kittery, ME but did not end in Salisbury, MA this year.
There will be post-registration for the 20-mile at the Traip Academy in Kittery from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Post-registration for the half marathon will be at Wallis Sands Beach in Rye from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. If you need to take the bus from Hampton Beach (finish area), they will depart the Casino Ballroom parking lot starting at 7:30 for the 20-mile and 8:30 for the half marathon. Please bring $5 for the bus fare.
Due to the closing of the Seabrook Bridge walkway by the New Hampshire State Department of Transportation, as part of the overall bridge reconstruction, there will be a course change for this year’s races. As there is no way to cross the bridge on foot, we will be finishing this year’s races in Hampton Beach, both the Eastern States 20 Mile and the Run for the Border Half Marathon. The races WILL remain at their full distances, sanctioned by USA Track and Field. The additional mileage will come from a new inland loop in North Hampton and Hampton.
Please see the accompanying map for the new configuration of the final miles.
Sincerely,
Don Allison, Race Director
