Twenty-eight runners and more than 40 walkers disregarded brutally cold conditions to participate in Foxcroft Academy’s 3rd Annual Reindeer 5K Run and Walk on the afternoon of Sunday, December 7. This year’s event was a Division 2 Key Club Project, with six Key Clubs–Foxcroft Academy, Greenville High School, Dexter Regional High School, Nokomis High School, Piscataquis Community High School, and Penquis Valley High School–working together to raise approximately $1100 for Community Santa Projects.
“It was great to see all of the Key Clubs of Division 2 bond together and work towards a common goal of helping children who are less fortunate have a Christmas,” said George Rolleston, Foxcroft Academy Key Club advisor.
Foxcroft Academy junior Gabe Piquette paced the runners with an impressive time of 19:47 while Heather Gudroe was the fastest female at 23:22.

(We know that Capstone Photos & the Lewiston Auburn Sun Journal had people covering this event. We will link to the other coverage as we find it. Maine Running Photos did not have a 2nd volunteer this year so we did not cover the 5k.)
