The Race Director, Randy Easter says:

“The race will start at the Maine Paper and Heritage Museum.  It is the first year and was put together quite quickly.  As far as I know, no one will be taking pictures.  The cost is only $10 which includes a T-shirt.  The race will start at the museum, go up Church St. for about 200 meters, turn left onto Sewall St., turn left again at Knapp St., right onto Millett, cross route 4, go by the gazebo, along the river trail which is beside the rec field.  This is also known as the Foundry road.  At the end of the road you’ll be at Shuy Corner and will turn left onto route 133 and 17.  Follow this for a little less than a kilometer then turn onto Searles St.  Follow this to the end (the name changes to High St.) and turn left onto Church St. again and run back to the museum.  The course is marked.  See if this link will get you there.”

Any athlete who is not affiliated with a company that has a registered team, or is

not a draftee, can compete through MECTA as an unattached/non-affiliated

athlete. Unattached athletes would be required to pay the predetermined fee of

$50.00. An unattached athlete will be listed on the final results of each meet as

an unattached and will not be eligible to score any points. Also, unattached

athletes will not be eligible to have records with MECTA.

Unattached athletes will have the opportunity to form their own relay teams at the

MECTA meets. The criteria for the relay team would still apply.
