It doesn’t get much better than this for a 5K loop course … running down closed Route 1 which is flat and straight through the middle of Falmouth in your favorite Ugly Christmas Sweater before turning north onto scenic Route 88, briefly leave 88 to take in the beauty of Casco Bay before heading for the finish line.
Not a runner, how about showing off your Ugly Sweater by walking in the Merry Mile down Route 1.

Santa Shuffle 5K Run for the Children ~ Bridgton, ME
Thank you for your interest in our very first Santa Shuffle and Holiday Open House to benefit the children of Bridge Crossing! It’ll be a day full of holiday cheer and family fun complete with caroling, milk & cookies, and the one and only, Santa himself! Check out all the ways you can participate:
WHAT’S SCHEDULED?
8AM Children’s Fun Run – The day will start with some dashing through the snow led by one of Santa’s favorite Elves!
9AM 5K Walk/Run – You’ll run through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, past the sea of twirly-swirly gum drops and back to Bridge Crossing where hot cocoa and festivities await!

“Our biggest Cross Country and Track and Field fundraiser – The Gasping Gobbler 5k – is next Thursday 11/25!! We hope to have a big group of runners come and race that day. All of our cross country runners should help at this race. Parents please come and help out as well. Be at Cony by 6:30AM to lend a hand. Weather permitting we will be done by about 10:30AM.”

Yes, we knew that this race was to be held today. We were not asked to be there, if we knew that needed someone to take photos we would have tried to send someone.
