They were running in Hampden for a good cause. Runners for the Warren Bishop Memorial Run beat the heavy rain and the cross country trail behind Hampden Academy held up. Kristina O’Donnell of Hampden paced the women with a winning time of 19:34, Mary Parsons was second, Blakelee Jordan third.
Darik Frye of Newburgh won for the men, his time 15:25, Evan Piccirillo also of Newburgh finished second, Phil Lebretton of Bangor third. The money raised helps fund scholarships for runners at Hampden Academy.
