[Age Group Awards | Age Group Results ]SVFCU to Host 5K Run/Walk to End Hunger
On July 25th, your Credit Union will be sponsoring its first…

“Run to End Hunger” 5K run/walk
This event, open to runners and walkers of any level of skill, is to raise funds for local food banks that serve in the surrounding area.
Over the years, SVFCU, with the support of its many members and sponsors, has contributed to “Maine Credit Union’s Campaign to Ending Hunger in Maine”, a 501(c)(3) organized through the Maine Credit Union League. By pooling our resources with other credit unions in Maine we have been able to advance the cause of ending hunger in Maine. In 2008 Credit Unions, collectively, were able to set a new record of $375,296.59 which surpassed the previous year’s totals. Over $3.1 million has been raised since 1990.
As a proud participant in this worthy program, your Credit Union recently raised and distributed $11,007 to five organizations in the Sebasticook area that provide food to those in need.
