WELCOME! This is the official website of the 2009 NCAA Division III New England Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. This site will include links for course maps, restaurant and hotel lists and will provide links for the results of both the men’s and women’s championship races. Directions to Twin Brooks and USM

The 2009 NCAA Division III New England Regional Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championship, hosted by the University of Southern Maine will be Saturday, November 14 at the Twin Brooks Recreational Center in Cumberland, Maine. Admission will be free of charge. The women’s race will be at 11:00 a.m. The men’s race will be at 12 p.m.

10:30 a.m. First gun, women’s race
10:35 a.m. National Anthem, teams can start to report to boxes
10:40 a.m. Second gun, women’s race; teams report to boxes for clerking
10:50 a.m. Third gun, women’s race; complete clerking
10:55 a.m. Announcer counts down each minute
10:59 a.m. Starter takes over
11:00 a.m. Women’s 6K Championship Race

11:30 a.m. First gun, men’s race
11:40 a.m. Second gun, men’s race
11:50 a.m. Third gun, men’s race; complete clerking
11:55 a.m. Announcer counts down each minute
11:59 a.m. Starter take over
12:00 p.m. Men’s 8k Championship Race

COACHES MEETING & PACKET PICK UPTeam packet pick up will also take place during the Coaches’ Meeting beginning at 7:45 p.m. Packets will include bib numbers, hip numbers, pins, chips (two per athlete), course maps, box numbers and final instructions.

Entries/Final Declaration/Squad Size Information
There will be a MANDATORY NCAA Coaches’ Meeting on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 8:15 p.m. in the Alumni Reception Room in the Costello Sports Complex on the USM Gorham campus. The reception room is located off of the Ice Arena lobby. A $100 fine per institution will be imposed on coaches who miss the meeting or are more than 15 minutes late.

TIMING & SCORING
Bay State Race Services will be handling all timing, scoring and results. Each entered student-athlete will be issued a bib number, hip number and two computer chips to be worn around each ankle. All chips will be collected in the corral at the end of the of the chute.
