“..Dennis Morrill past away Friday night (30 Dec 2016, ) in his sleep. Dennis was involved with the MRHF (Maine Running Hall of Fame) in its early years. Dennis made some large donations to the hall to get it off the ground, the size of which I did not know as he did not want people to know. Only the treasurer knew what he donated. Dennis was very involved with the hall for many years and was a great supporter of the hall.
Bob Payne ran against Dennis in high school and became friends when Bob started running again at age 36. Dennis never stopped running after high school. Dennis has ran more Patriots day 5 milers than any other person. Probably around 50. Dennis will be missed.” (words by Bob Payne)
