About

In the Fall of 2004, David Colby Young, a member of the Maine Track Club & editor of the News*Run,  started Maine Running Photos on the ISP called America On Line. The purpose of the journal/blog was to have an easy way to share the great number of photos taken by David Colby Young and Don Penta both members of the Maine Track Club & the Central Maine Striders running clubs.  Bad news came to David & Don in Sept of 2008,  AOL pulled the plug on all blogs as of 31 Oct 2008, the cost of giving away photos went up.  The good news is that David Colby Young stepped up to the plate. Maine Running Photos is now  a web site with a domain name and web space.  Maine Running Photos is born again and with this evolution will be transfored into something able to serve the Maine running sport far better than before.  David Colby Young and the fellow writers of MRP welcome your input.  We are here to serve the running public.  Thank you David Colby Young

  1. Is there a way to download the individual pictures? Have you ever thought of linking your page to a facebook page? People would then be able to tag their own pictures.

    Dear Ben,

Thank you for viewing my Maine Running Photos Blog. The photos are hosted on http://www.Flickr.com You can get a FREE flickr account but I do not think you need to have one to copy the the photos I am posting. I am using the http://www.mainerunningphotos.com to filter out the non running related photos I take for other non running clubs of which I belong.

    Sincerely,

    David Colby Young

  2. Wanted to say thanks for taking pics at the Polar Bear 5K. Do you have an idea when those will be posted?
